1.what surprised me?
-It surprised me that the United states has more cars than licensed drivers. However, I do not have a car.
-I was surprised by the fact that the receptacles of the united states' waste cost more than all of the goods consumed by nearly half of the world's nations.
-There are too many options. The writer went to Staples, and there was 7,500 different school and office supplies.

2.what did you already know?
-I knew that my parents wanted me to became a knowledge worker.
-I knew that a lot of developed nations are producing left-brained knowledge workers.

3.Brand new words
prestige - reputation, achievement, rank, or other favorable attributes.
acquire - to gain, get.
phenomenon - a fact,occurrence, or circumstance observed.
aristocratic - having the manners, values, or qualities associated with the aristocracy.
swank - stylish, elegant
boutique - one that sells fashionable clothes.
emporium - a large retail store
unfathomable - not capable of being measured, Immeasurable, Difficult or impossible to understand
aspiration - strong desire, longing, or aim.
transcendence - going beyond ordinary limits.
Luminosity - bright, shining.

4.what changes are you going to make?
-I am not going to make a huge change. I will stick to L-Directed Thinking.

-How do we test or rank R-Directed thinking?

6.what connection in real life?
-I almost have everything that I need except a car. I should be thankful.
