A Whole New Mind(Final - Pg.197-231)

1. What surprised me ?
- I was amazed by Jane McGonigal's idea of "Gaming can make a better world". To me, it did sound quite reasonable. Also, the story of the kingdom of Lydia was interesting ; the history of who invented games and why.
- The fact that attending religious services cut people's risk of death from heart disease, suicide, and some cancers was surprising too.
- I am super surprised by the fact that we did finish this book. It seemed impossible to do, but we did it! :):):)

5. questions?
- how to live happy? how to live a meaningful life?,,, it is such a wide topic and there are numerous things that we can do to make us happy and meaningful. However, the most important thing is that we just have to believe that we are happy and living a meaningful life. That is all we have to do.

6. others?
-when I read this chapter, it reminded me of Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. I still remember one of my favorite quote from that book.
"So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning" (??).
I think this quotation fits well with this chapter.

7. Word of the day
-Believe

if you believe that you are happy, then you are happy~
